Šilute wind farm
Construction of the Šilute wind farm was completed in the 3rd quarter of 2016.
There are 24 General Electric (GE) wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.5 MW, in the Šilute wind farm. Full capacity of the wind farm is 60 MW. The prognosed yearly production is 230 GWh.
The GE Wind Energy electric turbines are produced by a Germany located turbines manufacturing branch of an American large consolidated company GE. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 110 meters, and rotor diameter is 120 meters.
Total investment of the Šilute wind farm is over 100 million euros.
The Šilute wind farm is located 15 km south-east of Šilute. The wind farm comprises an area of 2000 hectares.
Development of the Šilute wind farm was started by a special purpose company, Šilutes Vejo Projektai UAB (Šilutes wind projects).
The Šilute wind farm is operated by 4energia UAB (LLC), Nelja Energia’s subsidiary in Lithuania.
