Aseriaru wind farm
The Aseriaru wind farm was completed in 2011. The first wind turbine was connected with the power grid in September 2011.
There are 8 Winwind WWD-3 type wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3 MW, in the Aseriaru wind farm. The total capacity of the wind farm is 24 MW and the prognosed yearly production is 65 GWh.
The electric turbines are produced by the Finnish company, Winwind Oy. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 90 meters, and rotor diameter is 103 meters. The wind turbine weighs 1026 tons. The expected life-span of the wind turbines is 20 years.
The Aseriaru wind farm is located in Ida-Viru County, Aseri Rural Municipality, between the Tallinn-Narva Highway and the Aseri urban area. The wind farm comprises an area of approximately 200 hectares.
A specific project company, Aseriaru Tuulepark OÜ, was established for the Aseriaru wind farm.
