Vanaküla wind farm

Construction of the Vanaküla wind farm was completed in 2009.

There are three WinWinD WWD3/100 type wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3 MW, in the Vanaküla wind farm. Full capacity of the wind farm is 9 MW and the yearly production of electricity is approximately 24 GWh.

The electric turbines are produced by a Finnish company, Winwind Oy. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 90 m, and rotor diameter is 100 m. The wind turbine weighs 305 tons. The expected life-span of the wind turbines of the Vanaküla wind farm is 20 years.

Total investment of the Vanaküla wind farm is EUR 12.8 million.

The Vanaküla wind farm is located in Lääne County, Noarootsi Rural Municipality, Vanaküla Village. The wind farm comprises an area of approximately 56 hectares.
