Silute wind farm

Construction of the Silute wind farm has been planned for 2011-2012.

A total of 50 Enercon E-82 wind turbines will be erected. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 100 MW and the yearly production of electricity over 287 GWh.

The turbines are produced by a German company, Enercon GmbH. The expected life-span of the wind turbines is 20 years.

The Silute wind farm is located 15 km south-east of Silute. The wind farm comprises an area of 2000 hectares.

Development of the Silute wind farm was started by a special purpose company, Silutes Vejo Projektai UAB (Silutes wind projects).

The Silute wind farm is operated by OÜ Nelja Energia`s subsidiary, 4energia UAB (LLC), in Lithuania.
