Paldiski wind farm

The Paldiski wind farm has been planned to be completed in 2012.

A total of up to 9 wind turbines will be installed, each with a capacity of 2.5 MW, in the Paldiski wind farm. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 22.5 MW and the yearly production of electricity will be approximately 67 GWh.

The GE Energy electric turbines are produced by a Germany located turbines manufacturing branch of an American large consolidated company GE. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 85 m, and rotor diameter is 100 m. The wind turbine weighs 250 tons. The expected life-span of the wind turbines is 20 years.

The Paldiski wind farm is located in Harju County, on the territory of the town of Paldiski. The wind farm comprises an area of approximately 125 hectares.
